Let us introduce you to... Karakulowa

Let us introduce you to... Karakulowa

You want to enjoy fashion without having any remorse about bad production conditions and exploitation? You no longer want to wander around in random designs of H&M, Zara & Co.? Then you are definitely ready for Karakulowa!

Karakulowa is the label of Lilija Meier, a fashion designer based in Berlin. The idea behind the exotic name is to convert forgotten production materials into contemporary garments and empowering the idea of an environmentally oriented consumer behavior.

Lilija designs and produces her upcycled fashion in Berlin, more precisely in her exceptionally beautiful boutique in Kreuzberg. When she finished her studies at ESMOD university she moved to this place and put so much effort and love into the renovation of the store - the result is amazing!

By the way: From 1st to 30th September you will not only find Karakulowa’s products in there, but also our pop-up store!

The fabrics for her garments are mostly aged bedlinen made out of high-quality natural fibers which have proven a long service life, that can be assured for the future as well. Instead of throwing them away, Lilija hand-selects and transforms them into a new Karakulowa fashion collection.

See for yourself and visit the Karakulowa store when you’re in town. In the meantime you’ll find further information on of/Berlin.
